Increase in Employers EPF Contribution Rates in Malaysia

Effective 1 January 2012, the employers’ statutory contribution rate is increased to 13%. In addition, employers will now make contributions at 6.5% for employees who are aged 55 or above and earning wages of not more than RM5000 per month.
