Compensation in the form of either payment or days off must be given if an employee is asked to work on public holidays. The Employment Legislation establishes that full and part time employees are entitled to minimum four weeks leave, based on the number of hours worked. Shift workers are entitled to a minimum of 5 weeks leave.
