Compensation in the form of payment (at least 1.5 times of the employee’s daily pay) and paid days off must be given if an employee is asked to work on public holidays. The Employment Law establishes that employees are entitled to minimum four weeks leave, with extra days given depending on company. Employees must also be given the opportunity to take at least two weeks leave continuously.
